The Japanese Film Festival wishes to bring stories of Japan closer to Japanese culture enthusiasts around the globe by offering free streaming access to 27 countries in 16 languages from June 5 to July 3, 2024.
Asia: Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Mainland China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Oceania: Australia and New Zealand.
Europe: France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom.
North America: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and United States.
South Africa: Egypt
All films and tv series will have subtitles ready in 16 languages: Arabic, Burmese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, French, Hungarian, Japanese, Indonesian, Italian, Lao, Malay, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.

Will the Art of Suiboku-ga heals him?

This brings us back to the Star Wars craze in the 1970s, as we follow a cinephile high schooler who teams up with three classmates to produce a sci-fi film with a limited budget and record it with an 8mm camera for a school project. This film won recognition at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Film Festival 2022, the Official Selection at the Boston SCI-FI Film Festival, and the Excellence in Sci-Fi Horror Film Festival 2023.

TOEI Tokyo Film Studio produced the animation for the film. From the poster, on the left side is "Soundback: Kanade no Ishi" directed by Azuma Tani with characters drawn by Eisaku Kubonouchi ("Carole & Tuesday" anime). The right side is "Fatal Front Ridelight" directed by Takashi Otsuka, and the characters were drawn by Takahiro Kishida ("Durarara!" anime). Two anime in one film—double treat.
